I’m Hannah Larson from Windsor,
Colorado. I had the honor of being
selected as the 2009-2010 ADGA Youth Representative at this year’s convention
in Buffalo, New York. I would like to
take this opportunity to tell you a little bit about myself. My family and I raise Alpines, with the
exception of my brother’s Oberhasli and my sister’s Toggenburgs and
LaMancha. I got my first goat when I was
eight years old. We would attend two to
three open shows every year and gradually got to know the many different breeders
from our area. Since then, we have
learned much about showing, breeding, and day to day goat care from these
wonderful “goat” people. Currently, my
family and I own 45 dairy goats. I
completed my 10th year as a 4-H member this year.
I hope to be able to meet even more
two-legged kids this next year. I would
like to attend some events in other states and tell more people about the
wonderful youth programs and activities ADGA offers. If you have an event you would like me to
attend, let me know when and where it is.
Although I would love to attend all of them, time and distance will play
a part in where I can go.
I am looking forward to this year
and I can’t wait to see what it holds for me.

Hi, I'm Bethany Parker, and I'm your '09/'10 ADGA
Alternate Youth Representative. I live in New Hampshire with my family and our
herd of LaManchas, though we started our herd when we lived in Maine. I've had
goats for nearly 12 years, and I was a member of 4-H for 15 years. I'm
currently a student at Manchester Community College here in New Hampshire, and I
work part-time for Performance Indicator, a company in Lowell, Massachusetts.
ADGA events that I've been to include the '07
annual convention in Fort Collins, Colorado, the '08 national show in
Louisville, Kentucky, and the '09 annual convention in Buffalo, New York. I
look forward to going to the National Show again this year, and meeting even
more of you from around the country!
